Emil Hüüsli
A little slice of Emil’s world
A little slice of Emil’s world has now been created in Europa-Park's Swiss themed area. At its heart is the Emil-Hüüsli, an authentic Swiss house which takes visitors on a journey through the artist’s life. Through photographs, documents, handwritten texts, records, personal mementos and typical sayings, the story of his childhood, family and extraordinary career is told.
Emil himself describes the Hüüsli as a very personal little museum of his life. He says that the exhibition came as a great surprise to him and that it is, above all, a sign of appreciation. He was particularly impressed by how carefully and attentively everything had been designed.
Even the view from the window is part of the Emil experience: As the Swiss Bob Run track whizzes past, visitors can hear Emil's unmistakable voice making humorous remarks. This allows visitors to encounter the artist not only through pictures and memorabilia, but also to experience his characteristic humour.
