Bistro Tomi Ungerer

A French bistro, just like those in the heart of Lyon! Enjoy our traditional French dishes such as tarte flambée, café au lait and a rich cake buffet.

Since the winter season 2021, we’ll be dedicating our little bistro to the French graphic artist, caricaturist and author Tomi Ungerer: The ‘Bistro La Cigale’ will become the ‘Bistro Tomi Ungerer’. Born in Strasbourg, Tomi Ungerer is not only known for his children's books (including ‘The Three Robbers’), but also for the fact that he always questioned social norms, conventions and politics in his works and his art. Throughout his life he campaigned for Franco-German friendship and a united Europe. In the Bistro, you’ll be able to marvel at the drawings, books and memories of Ungerer. The Alsatian was a close friend of the Mack family and Europa-Park and even brought in his own design ideas.
