Winter season at Rulantica from 28 November 2026 to 10 January 2027

As the temperature drops outside, a special time of year begins at Rulantica. Vinterglanz brings festive splendour to the water world, combining refreshing water fun with a Nordic Christmas atmosphere, atmospheric lighting, and magical moments for all the family. As soon as guests enter the water world, they are greeted by an impressive Christmas tree in the lobby – the first of many festive highlights that Rulantica has in store during the winter season.

Decorated Christmas trees, sparkling garlands and charming festive touches create a magical winter atmosphere in the water world. Numerous attractions and slides ensure plenty of action – from the interactive water carousel ‘Tønnevirvel’ to the thrilling ‘Vikingløp’ speed slide.

 

Exciting shows

The evening’s highlight awaits you at the Surf Fjørd, right in the heart of Rulantica. The show 'VINTERGLANZ – the Glow of the Home Star' combines a heart-warming Christmas story with expressive acrobatics, enchanting puppetry and spectacular special effects. Together with Snorri and Bubba, you’ll brave the mighty sea serpent Svalgur – and share a magical moment around the wave pool as, night after night, a child from the audience brings the faded Home Star back to life, showering Rulantica in a sparkling rain of stars.

Vinterglanz has plenty more festive experiences in store. For instance, Snorri and the Nordic Winter Fairy invite young guests to open a door on Snorri’s Winter Calendar every day at Skip Strand, where they will find a little surprise behind each one. What’s more, a colourful programme of shows promises wonder and fun: From the enchanting soap-bubble show 'Snorri in a Christmas Bubble', to the interactive audience-participation show 'The Vikings & the Secret of Christmas', right through to the thrilling 'Vinter-Circus: Clown Acrobatics Show'. Those who want to get involved can try out their own acrobatic skills at the 'Vinter-Circus: Workshop by TALENT ACADEMY' or get creative in Snorri’s Stjerne Workshop.

A unique winter experience awaits you at Svømmepøl, the heated outdoor pool. While the cold winter air sweeps across the Nordic landscape, you can relax pleasantly in the warm water. At the covered Svømme Bar, guests can enjoy a drink while still in the water. Also open in the outdoor area are: Frigg Tempel and Vildstrøm.

Those who prefer a cosier setting can unwind in the Hyggedal sauna and wellness area. With three saunas, a steam room and cosy retreats, as well as festive decorations, it's the perfect place to escape the winter weather outside for a while and enjoy some hyggelig moments of wellbeing.

Rulantica is also offering new culinary highlights this winter, with fresh pasta dishes, bowl salads and mushroom poutine completing the menu during the cold season. What’s more, winter hot drinks provide cosy warmth from within.
